LET IT GO!!!

Good Evening, Everyone:

May all of you have a most blessed week. I'm going to continue with last week's discussion of Easter.
The gospel passage discussed in my church was John 12:24 which states as follows:

24I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,
                         it remains
only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

Jesus was discussing his death and resurrection. He understood the impact it would have on the masses.
There is no doubt in any Christian's mind that this pivotal event has shaped the fate of all mankind. The
sacrifice of our glorious Creator extended the original covenant He made with the Jewish people to all mankind.

The illuminating insight that this gospel bestowed upon me related to the impact of "unpleasant" experiences. When I'm emotionally wounded and disappointed, I don't like to dwell on such events because it really "hurts". I try so hard and I hate failure because I'm my toughest critic.

I was taught that people who work hard have to succeed. Unfortunately, this is not always true and in order to heal the trauma of failure, letting go is the only answer. Allowing the seeds of disappointment to die will bear much productive fruit.

You can't allow emotional trauma to poison your mind and stop you in your tracks. Where there is a will, there is a way. You have to ask a Higher Power to assist you by coming into your wounded psyche to heal it and wash away the pain.

Just imagine yourself being swept away and cleansed in the waters of the Holy Spirit. Visualizing this process is very effective. The insights that you'll receive will be comforting. By doing so, will help reinforce the reality that no one travels the path of life alone. Someone is always listening. You don't have to shoulder the burdens of life alone! JUST LET GO!!!

May Peace Be With You,

Sistah Selah
