BEING AUTHENTIC
Good Evening, Everyone!
I've been running across some very "troubled" people, lately. It appears that they are sadly out of touch with reality. Some people don't seem to know the difference between "positive thinking" and "self delusion".
Positive thinkers have usually taken the time to develop the necessary expertise and people skills to successfully accomplish their goals. On the other hand, self deluded people usually don't take the time to develop much depth in anything. They are always attempting to use their flawed attempts at social engineering to achieve their goals through other people. They pretend to be "team players" but in reality they are nothing more than "me players". They use and discard people like "toilet paper" and have no real sense of loyalty to anyone except themselves.
These people are always over reaching and woefully underestimating what it really takes to accomplish a task because they are just too self-absorbed and lazy to do the necessary hard work. They're always attempting to utilize "short cuts" when a job actually requires a more in-depth approach. They love to "talk the talk" but won't "walk the walk". They consistently fail to meet deadlines and can't be depended upon to produce an acceptable amount of work. It's not unusual for them to conveniently forget about discussions in which they promised tangible results. Their approach is to dismiss the topic instead of confronting their shortcomings. They simply make another set a promises that will be broken until the other parties involved have had enough!!!
Self deluded people simply aren't ready for "prime time" but they won't acknowledge it. In an attempt to seem productive, they are always drawing other people into their "merry-go-round" of endless drama. Their constant need for attention and validation is as crippling as it is unproductive. Try as you may to bring them back to earth, they will fight you tooth and nail! They prefer to swim in a "sea of illusion" instead of "standing on the shores of real accomplishment". Swimming to shore would require "hard work" and "discipline" which are traits that they avoid like the plague! GOD GIVE ME A BREAK! DELIVER ME FROM THESE FOOLS!!!
May Peace Be With All Of You,
Sistah Selah
