CHALLENGES AND BOUNDARIES -- YOUR CROSSES AREN'T EVERYBODY'S

Good Evening, Everyone:

I hope that all of you had a very productive week.  Mine was certainly interesting.

I have become aware of a certain theme or pattern imbedded within most of my relationships.  I pray that it changes.

I always seem to be placed within the same environment with individuals who have personal challenges and issues that have very little to do with me.  To be perfectly frank, I have learned "to live, and let live" a very long time ago.  I have no desire to force other people's realities to conform to mine.  I'm not a "control freak" and I greatly resent being around such people.  I find their presence to be somewhat negative because they're usually carrying around old baggage that they should have discarded a long time ago.  My new motto is "get real, get over it, suck it up and move the hell on".  Life is just too short!

Although we're blessed to live in a society in which dreams are attainable, every human being has his/her own "personal demons" to wrestle with.  When life is not going as you planned, does everyone else have to suffer with you?  I DON'T THINK SO!!!  Although misery loves company, a "pity party" is not my definition of "a good time".  As far as I'm concerned, you can go it alone!

Honesty and acceptance go hand in hand.  Be honest with yourself.  Be good to yourself.  Trying to keep up with the Joneses has played out!  You'll sleep much better at night knowing that tomorrow is not promised to anybody and living in the present moment with your peace of mind intact is priceless!  Projecting your fears and insecurities upon undeserving individuals will only serve to further imprison you!  Set yourself free!  Deal with your problems constructively and a solution will materialize.  It may not be the easiest one, but with GOD all things are possible.

May Peace Be With All Of You,

Sistah Selah
