Indulge Your Passion – Life’s Just Too Short!!!
Hello, Everyone:
May all of you have a most blessed day!
These days it seems as if miserable, mean-spirited people are more plentiful than roaches! There are people in this world who have absolutely nothing encouraging to say about anything or anybody. It does not matter who the person is or what the actual circumstances are, they are determined to put a “negative spin” on everything. These “woefully malignant” souls are inherently discontent with their own lives and have chosen to allow that little green monster called “envy” to dominate their existence. Where there is an absence of spiritual understanding and compassion, darkness reigns. Such a mentality is similar to the one Jesus described below in Matthew 6:22-23:
The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your body will
be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your body will be filled with
darkness. And if the light in you is darkness; how great will the
darkness be.
To be perfectly frank, allowing envy “to run amok” in your consciousness is in violation of the 10thcommandment which is stated below as follows:
You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife
nor his ox, nor his donkey,
According to the Bible, intensely desiring something that belongs to someone else is wrong; however, if it encourages you to channel your energies into constructively acquiring your own worldly goods and status without stealing someone else’s then this intense desire becomes passionately inspiring. Seeing something you like and wanting it is only natural. Unfortunately, it can become a “debilitating obsession”when you intensely resent those who have the things you want.
So many of these people gave up on their dreams a long time ago. In doing so, they surrendered their happiness and kicked their faith to the curb. As long as you have been blessed to awake another day with a sound mind and body, pursuing your "true passion" which defines your innermost desires is doable. Honoring your obligations and servicing your reality are important, but you must also feed your soul. Life is simply too short for you to neglect spending some time to nurture a goal that completes you as an individual. Women are especially prone to putting their dreams and desires “on hold” for the sake of their loved ones. Unfortunately, time flies and relationships change which may leave them feeling “empty and shortchanged” in the long run.
Contrary to what most people believe; you are never too old to try something new. Where there is a will, there is a way and you should not allow failing or what other people think to stand in your way. Whatever is for you to have, you shall have it! Believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Remember, when you’re happy, you can’t help but to make those around you happy, too!
May Peace Be With All of You,
Sistah Selah
